Homemade Social is building a roster of talented freelance User-Generated Content (UGC) creators to collaborate with our team on an as-needed basis. These are contractor roles and not guaranteed ongoing work—but we’d love to connect with skilled creators we can call on for future projects.

As a UGC Creator working with Homemade Social, you’ll capture authentic, engaging short-form video content and/or still imagery (typically on iPhone) for our roster of e-commerce and lifestyle clients. We’re looking for creators who are comfortable both on and behind the camera, have an eye for trends, and can deliver high-quality, platform-ready content. You’ll be collaborating with our internal team and working independently to capture, and potentially edit video assets aligned with brand guidelines.

This is a freelance/contractor position. Work is assigned on a project basis and compensation varies depending on scope. Remote applicants are welcome.

Responsibilities

Film (and potentially edit) short-form video content (to be used for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and paid digital media, etc.) for client campaigns. Most often, your concept will be provided for you! Occasionally, you may be asked to pitch a content direction for approval before being cleared to film.
Deliver high-quality, engaging iPhone content that feels organic and native to the platform. For us, high-quality content means:

Commitment to quality lighting – seeking out natural light as much as possible
Steady, clear camera work
Crisp, clear audio
Strong communication skills (if speaking on camera)

Incorporate brand guidelines, key messages, and campaign briefs into your content.
Communicate with Homemade Social’s key contacts to ensure timely delivery.
Provide raw and/or edited files depending on project needs.
Revise content based on feedback, as needed.

Ideal Experience & Skills

Prior experience creating UGC or influencer-style content for brands.
Strong comfort level filming yourself on camera.
Familiarity with CapCut, InShot, or similar mobile editing tools.
Ability to self-direct and follow creative briefs.
Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual trends.
Ability to meet deadlines and respond to feedback in a timely manner
